Our Team

Hunan Primo Trading Co., Ltd is backed by an experienced and international team with strong cross-cultural insights and a deep understanding of both Chinese and African markets. The company was co-founded by Jim Supremo and Harriet Comley, who bring diverse backgrounds and expertise to the consultancy.

Jim is a Ghanaian entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in facilitating business between Africa and China. He has worked on projects spanning across mining, banking, housing, and AI technology and has strong government ties in countries like Ghana, Nigeria, and Liberia. His native-level Chinese proficiency, deep cultural insights, and strong business acumen ensure a seamless and successful cross-continental business experience.

Harriet is a UK-born academic and project manager pursuing a PhD in Sociology with a focus on cross-cultural communication. She has experience supporting international bids and projects across Ghana, Sudan, and Rwanda with ICB Export Consultants. Previously, Harriet spent seven years as an ESL educator, specializing in communication and curriculum design. She brings strong writing skills to craft clear, effective documentation and proposals aligned with business goals.

Nigel Comley

cONSULTANT

Nigel brings 40+ years of experience in international trade, export consultancy, and vocational training, with expertise in supplying to Africa and sourcing from Asia. Specializing in International Competitive Bidding (ICB), he has successfully managed major contracts in markets like Ghana, Ethiopia, and Uganda.

Nigel excels in strategic planning, team leadership, and client management. He now leverages this expertise to support Hunan Premo Trading Co., Ltd, guiding business strategies, fostering partnerships, and driving long-term success.

Van Hatse is a dynamic entrepreneur and our liason at Hunan Primo Trading Co., Ltd. Originally from Ghana, Van has spent years building strong connections across cultures and industries. With his expertise in facilitating projects and fostering key business partnerships, he plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between Africa and China, ensuring smooth collaboration and growth in both markets.

While we are a newly established company, our expertise is built on a strong foundation of industry knowledge, strategic insight, and successful collaborations. Our team is backed by a consultant with over 40 years of experience in international trade, export consultancy, and vocational training. With extensive expertise in supplying to Africa, sourcing from Asia, and managing major contracts through International Competitive Bidding (ICB), he has successfully led projects in markets such as Ghana, Ethiopia, and Uganda. His guidance strengthens our strategic planning, partnership development, and long-term business success.

We have actively contributed to several strategic initiatives, including:

  • National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT): Consulting on nanotechnology-based housing initiatives to enhance sustainable housing solutions for teachers in Ghana.

  • ENDA Finance: Providing strategic partnership and consulting for the development of a modern banking system in Ghana, while also facilitating the implementation of a Chinese investor plan for the company.

  • Exportation Projects: Leading export initiatives for African commodities, including cocoa and shea butter, to China, strengthening trade relationships and market access.
